Legal Help Centre (LHC)

What is it?: LHC provides legal information, advice, and referrals specifically to clients who are facing socioeconomic challenges. LHC hosts Drop-In, Family Law, and Consumer Protection clinics in order to accommodate a range of legal problems clients may be experiencing.

Why Volunteer?: Students are able to get valuable first-hand experience in communicating with clients, researching legal issues, and maneuvering through the legal system, while working under the direction of supervising lawyers. Students are also able to provide accessible legal services to clients who would not otherwise be able to afford it.
