Apara Grace

Hello! My name is Apara Grace; I am a second-year student at Robson Hall. For the 2024-2025 year, I have the privilege of serving as one of the 2L representatives.  

Before starting at Robson, I completed a Bachelor of Science from the University of Winnipeg, where I earned a double major in Biology and Biochemistry. At Robson Hall, I have been involved in Robson Hall Curling, the Business Law Group, and the Christian Legal Fellowship. This year, in addition to serving as one of the 2L representatives in MLSA, I will also be on the Professional Development Committee (PDC). 

When I am not at school, I am usually hanging out with friends or my dog, Brandy. I also enjoy art and spend my free time sewing or working with epoxy resin.

As a 2L rep, I am committed to promoting a positive and cordial learning environment, and I hope to work with the rest of MLSA to promote further unity at Robson Hall. I hope to use my voice and this platform to allow student interests to be represented and heard by the MLSA and faculty.

Vanessa Smith

Hi everyone! My name is Vanessa Smith, and I’m currently a second-year law student at Robson Hall. Last year, I had the privilege of serving as a 1L Class Representative and I'm excited to serve as a 2L Class Representative for the 2024-2025 academic year!

Prior to law school, I completed my Bachelor of Science here at the University of Manitoba. Since my time at Robson, I have been involved with Pro Bono Students Canada, the Professional Development Committee and the Spirit Committee. I am also a proud participant in Robson Hall’s Concentration in Access to Justice in French. Outside of Robson, you can catch me spending time with friends or enjoying the outdoors.

As a 2L Class Rep it is my responsibility to act as a liaison between the class of 2026 and the MLSA, the Faculty of Law, and the University. 

I will be accessible to address any questions or concerns you have this year. Looking forward to another great year together!
