What do we do for you?
The Academic Committee helps to support Robson Hall students in learning, offering study tips, advice, and providing resources that can be used to achieve success! The Academic Committee also serves as a bridge between students and faculty in terms of academic-related questions. The Committee also runs the Outline Bank found on the MLSA website. During exam season, this is an invaluable resource to both first years and upper years alike. It is a resource we are always looking to expand, and we intend to work on a new method for sourcing outlines this incoming school year.
Benefits of working with this Committee:
Members of the Academic Committee become a crucial part of providing guidance at Robson Hall by offering info sessions on exams and what to expect, study tips, creating outlines, and more! Members have the opportunity to be involved in creating and maintaining these critical resources.

What do we do for you?The Accessibility Committee is responsible for ensuring that all MLSA events are held in accessible locations. It is also responsible for receiving inquiries and complaints from MLSA members, collaborating with students, other Committees and student groups on matters regarding accessibility, reporting to the MLSA, and routinely conducting accessibility audits.
Benefits of working with this Committee:
The Accessibility Committee provides members with the opportunity to create a more fair and conscientious environment for all students at Robson Hall. Members are able to develop both their advocacy and collaboration skills within this Committee.

What do we do for you?
The Clinical Experience Committee advocates for clinical courses, plans networking and interview events and organizes Robson Hall’s Moot Program and the Robson Hall Mini Moot.
Benefits of working with this Committee:
This Committee allows members to be involved with planning Robson’s moot competitions and learn what effective advocacy looks like.

What do we do for you?
The Community Outreach Committee is responsible for promoting community involvement amongst Robson Hall students while providing them with opportunities to get involved. Some of the events and projects that the Community Outreach Committee regularly organizes at Robson Hall include the Winnipeg Harvest Holiday Hamper Drive, Movember, the Pet Rescue Collection Drive, Motionball participation, the Daniel McIntyre Mentorship Program, and Lawyers for Literacy.
Benefits of working with this Committee:
In addition to the sense of fulfillment that comes from contributing to these and other great causes, Community Outreach Committee members also gain numerous skills valuable to their legal careers, such as time management, effective communication, and organization.

What do we do for you?
The Grad Committee is responsible for fundraising, planning, and coordinating graduation for 3L students. This Committee also organizes the MLSA Clothing sale each year.
Benefits of working with this Committee:
Committee members will strengthen their event planning and time management skills by organizing graduation celebrations. Members will also get to enjoy working on the final (and most important!) social event for most Robson Hall students.

What do we do for you?
The Social Committee is responsible for planning events and activities that create an inclusive and engaging social environment at Robson Hall. Past events have included a 1L Meet and Greet, MedLaw, The Carbolic Smoke Ball, Virtual Bingo, and the End-of-Term Parties.
Benefits of working with this Committee:
The Social Committee allows for students to work collaboratively with their peers by planning and organizing various events, as well as the ability to make lasting friendships with students from all years.

What do we do for you?
The Sports Committee is responsible for organizing sporting events for Robson Hall students. We connect students to teams and events within the Manitoba legal community and promote the importance of physical and mental health as a part of the law school experience.

The Sports Committee provides members with the opportunity to connect with other Robson Hall students, network with lawyers in a more relaxed setting, and to enjoy being active!

What do we do for you?The Communications Committee is responsible for the design, production, and advertisement of the MLSA, its committees, and student groups. It is also responsible for the maintenance of the MLSA website (including the Event Calendar) and the MLSA social media pages.
Benefits of working with this Committee:
Joining the Communications Committee is a fantastic way to develop your creative skills and build a portfolio. The Committee’s work provides numerous opportunities to hone your communication, strategy, and creative skills – helpful for both your resume and real life. It might even give you a connecting point with creative clients in future practice!

What do we do for you?The Constitution and Policy Committee is an ad-hoc (is formed as necessary) committee that serves the MLSA by periodically reviewing and offering recommendations on the governing documents of the Association.

The Constitution and Policy Committee provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in policy work and internal governance.

What do we do for you?Throughout the year, the PDC organizes networking events and provides resources to students to assist them in their professional development. This Committee is dedicated to providing Robson Hall students with opportunities and resources to build their professional development by hosting networking events with firms and practitioners, assisting students in preparing their resumes and cover letters, and facilitating workshops and panels throughout the school year.
Benefits of working with this Committee:
An individual who joins this Committee will be able to engage with other professionally motivated individuals and will be encouraged to brainstorm and create opportunities to enhance students’ professional development. Committee members are also responsible for organizing core Robson Hall networking events such as the Law Banquet and the Small Firm Wine & Cheese.

What do we do for you?The Spirit Committee’s primary goal is to boost morale at Robson Hall. We are responsible for planning social events/activities that allow students to take a break from studying, hang out with friends and get to know their colleagues! In the past, Spirit Committee has hosted events like the Coffeehouse, Yoga in the Park, and Candy Grams.

The Spirit Committee provides members with the opportunity to improve their organizational and event planning skills, connect them with other Robson Hall students, and contributes to a fun social environment for students!
