Hi all, I’m Rowan (he/they), a trans-masculine and queer student in my second year at Robson. My goal is to be a contact point for any 2SLGBTQ+ students regarding any questions, concerns, or potential aspirations during your time here. I’m also connected with OUTLaws, and want to do my best to ensure that 2SLGBTQ+ students are able to have fun and positive experiences within the community, as well as feel safe and respected within the student body as a whole. To any incoming students reading this, I have felt extremely welcomed and accepted as a visibly queer individual so far, and I want you to know that I am fully in your corner if you encounter a situation where you would like someone to assist or advocate on your behalf.

I completed my undergrad at the U of M in 2018 with a Theatre major, and a French minor. My current legal aspirations are to practice in criminal defence work; I’m very interested in restorative justice. I’m a fairly open book, and am happy to share my experience so far, as well as listen to any of y’alls experiences. While I am on Facebook, I am not the best at remembering to check it regularly, so email is generally the best way to reach me. If you catch me in the halls, feel free to say hi. 

Also if you’re a 2SLGBTQ+ student who is not publicly out, still feel more than free to reach out to me personally. I understand everyone is in a different place in their journey, and I’m happy to support in whatever capacity I can even if you are not comfortable publicly being in queer spaces. If you have concerns, I am happy to raise them anonymously.
