My name is Emelina Ramos and I am currently entering my second year at Robson Hall. I am excited to be serving as the LGBTQ2IA+ representative for the upcoming 2026-2027 year!

Prior to entering law school, I completed a Bachelor of Arts with a major in International Development at the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario, as well as a paralegal studies program at Sheridan College in Brampton, Ontario. I actively practiced as a licensed paralegal for two years before obtaining an immigration consultant license. At present, I practice immigration law as an immigration consultant.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time in nature, travelling, watching reality tv and documentaries, listening to music, going out dancing and spending time with my puppy. I also hold a long history of involvement in grassroots rights movements. What brings me the most happiness is talking about the world and its many complexities, the injustices that exist and all the creative and innovative ways people come together in community to push back against these injustices.

I am here to act as a voice for LGBTQ2IA+ identified students attending Robson Hall. My aim is to create a safe space for LGBTQ2IA+ students as they navigate their law school experience (regardless of whether one is out publicly or not), and am available for private conversations as needed. My aim is for LGBTQ2IA+ students to feel supported and seen through my role as the LGBTQ2IA+ representative.
