OUTLaws

Outlaws is the 2SLGBTQ+ law student association at Robson Hall. Our goal is to provide a queer-positive learning atmosphere and meeting place at the Faculty of Law for members of the 2SLGBTQ community, and those who are questioning. We strive to create a safe space to offer peer support and mentorship to each other as classmates, friends, and colleagues. While membership in the group is reserved for those who identify as part of the community, we often host events that welcome everyone – whether you are a member of the queer community or an ally.

What is it?

Joining Outlaws gives Robson Hall students the opportunity to connect with other queer law students and with the 2SLGBTQ+ legal community more broadly. Outlaws hosts various networking events, talks and panel discussions with 2SLGBTQ+ lawyers, judges and scholars. Outlaws also works closely with the Manitoba Bar Association’s Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Community (SOGIC) section to keep students up to date and involved in current queer issues in the law.
