Hello everyone! 

My name is Jaclyn Victor, I’m a 2L, and I’m excited to be this year’s Out-of-Province Students’ Representative.

I know firsthand what it’s like to start over in a new city. I’m originally from Winnipeg, but I lived in Calgary for my undergraduate degrees, Montreal for my Masters, and Edmonton while working. 

After several years away, I was happy to return to Winnipeg for law school, and I’ve come to appreciate the balance our city offers: it has the neighbourliness of a small town, while also offering the opportunities and excitement of a bigger city.

As your representative, I’m here to help make the transition to Winnipeg a little easier, whether that means connecting you with other out-of-province students, sharing tips for settling in, or chatting about employment opportunities in other provinces, all while also making sure your experiences and concerns are represented within the MLSA.
