The Advocate

aka Student Living with Disabilities Rep

Sarah Shuttleworth

Aniin, Tansi, Boozhoo, Hi! My name is Sarah Shuttleworth (she/her), I am currently a 3L student at Robson Hall, and I am honoured to serve as your Students Living with Disabilities Representative for the 2025-2026 year!

Prior to law school, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Criminology and a minor in Psychology. Throughout my time at Robson, I have been involved in the Manitoba Indigenous Law Students Association as the Co-Social Media Coordinator (2024-2025), VP Social Coordinator (2024-2025) and VP Communications External (2025-2026), and served as a 2L Representative for the Robson Hall Criminal Law Group (2024-2025). I have been involved in student life activities like the Robson Hall Curling League and the Robson Hall Inner Tube Water Polo Team and will serve as the Co-Chair of MLSA’s Accessibility Committee. Outside of law school, most of my spare time is spent out in the community volunteering with various non-profit organizations that I hold close to my heart (or re-watching Friends for the 100th time).

As a law student with a hearing impairment, I know the realities and challenges of being a student living with a disability in law school. My goal as your SLWD Representative is to ensure every student here at Robson Hall is not only surviving but also thriving. Please feel free to stop me in the hallways or send me an email/message if you have questions, concerns, or just want to chat!
