The Money Maestro

aka Vice President Finance

Noah Kornelsen

Hey folks,

I’m Noah Kornelsen (he/him), a current 2L student and grateful to report for duty as your Vice-President Finance of the MLSA in the 2026-2027 academic year.

Before attending law school, I supervised swimming pools, volunteered in Winnipeg’s inner city, and ran a 50km ultra-marathon mountain trail obstacle course race. I then earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Winnipeg in 2025.

One thing about me: I love Robson Hall!!! Last academic year, I volunteered for Pro Bono Students Canada, No Means No, and the annual Robson Hall negotiation exercises. I had executive roles on the Student Spaces Committee, Animal Rights Forum, Mental Health Group, and our very own Law Games team (go Bisons!). I served on the Professional Development Committee and the Community Outreach Committee, played in the Robson Curling League (bronze medal finisher btw), and helped coordinate the Robson Run Club. This year, I’m excited to tackle my greatest challenge yet (and a law student’s worst nightmare): basic arithmetic. As Vice-President Finance, my job is to manage the MLSA’s finances. I set the MLSA’s budget, allocate funding and reimbursements for student groups and events at Robson Hall, and handle the administration of acquiring and moving our money.

My advice to incoming students: treat everyone with respect, and be nice. Anywho, I’m a real Mr. Chatterbox, and always love talking to fellow students. Stop me if you have questions, need help, or just want to say hi. Things cost money, but smiles are free!!!!!
