The Money Maestro
aka Vice President Finance
Cole Cornies
Hey reader, my name is Cole Cornies and I am the Vice-President Finance of the MLSA.
Before journeying to Robson Hall, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Simon Fraser University in my home province of BC. Yes, the winter in Manitoba has been a lovely learning experience for me.
I am a voting member on the Endowment Fund Committee, a founding member of our very own Robson Hall Music Appreciation Club, a rep for the Debate Society, and a member of the Squash Association. Being a member of student groups here at Robson has been awesome, and I highly encourage you to find a group to join! In my free time, I enjoy playing music—I play the guitar, mandolin, violin, and harp-guitar. I also love reading and weightlifting.
As Vice-President Finance my job is to set the MLSA’s budget, including funding for student groups, big events at Robson Hall, committees, and everything in-between. I also manage the MLSA’s finances, as the position’s name implies. Who doesn’t love accounting?
If you’ve got anything that you think I might be able to help with, please drop me a line or stop me in the hall, I’m always happy to chat.
