The Administrative Maestro

aka the Governance Coordinator

Nadine Plourde

Hi y’all!

My name is Nadine Plourde, I am currently a 3L at Robson Hall and am your 2025/2026 Governance Coordinator.

My job is basically to ensure that everything the MLSA does is following our own constitution and policies and then to recommend updates, edits, or changes, if what is in our policies in no longer relevant to how we work. As part of this position I also sit as a co-chair of the Constitution and Policy committee so basically, if something is, was, or should be part of our rules then it’s my job to know about it.

In my time at Robson, I’ve participated in a few different student organizations, which I think represent a lot of my different identities quite well:

  • I am the past MLSA President (2024/2025)

  • I have a member of the MILSA exec team (Manitoba Indigenous Law Student’s Association), as a person with Indigenous history this has been wonderful group to connect with and support.

  • I was previously the MLSA’s Students Living with Disabilities Rep; I am late-diagnosed AuDHD (autistic and ADHD) and it has been a privilege to be able to learn how best to represent my peers in this capacity.

  •   I was on the Bilingual Students Association (BSA) exec team, and while I’m no longer on that exec, I’m looking forward to everything the team has planned and would highly recommend students join the bilingual program, I love the community I’ve found there and am looking forward to being a part of the first graduating class with my concentration in Access to Justice in French.

  • I am on the exec team of OUTLaws, our queer student group. As a queer person at Robson, I am happy to support my community here as well.

Over the past few years our constitution and policies have started to become a little convoluted and hard to find any information on, so a big goal of mine this year is to make is so that all of that information is a lot tidier, easier to access and in general just better reflects our values and activities as an organization.
